The break ends

The VfL women started their pre-season preparations with a lactate test.

The summer-silence around the double-winners has finally come to an end. With immediate effect, on Elesterweg, the ladies will be getting a sweat on in preparation for the 2018/2019 campaign. However, on day one, there was no action on the ball for the Lady-Wolves. On Monday, VfL coach Stephan Lerch‘s side began with the obligatory lactate tests. New-signing Sara Doorsoun pulled on the kit of the German champions and DFB-Cup winners for the first time, to undergo a short, but intensive, work-out on the tread-mill. "I just arrived yesterday and basically all I know so far is the way to the training-grounds," said the 26-year-old, adding. "I’m just happy that things are getting going now."
