Signed and loaned back

Dutch youngster Ella Peddemors will move to VfL Women from FC Twente in 2025.

VfL Wolfsburg Women can announce another new signing, although the free transfer will not come into effect until the 2025/26 season. Dutch youth international Ella Peddemors has signed a contract with the She-Wolves until 30 June 2027 but will spend one more season on loan at current club FC Twente Enschede.

Four-time Dutch champion

Enschede-born Peddemors joined the Twente academy in 2017 and  was handed her first professional contract there in 2019. She’s made 75 competitive appearances to date, 60 of them in the league, seven in the two Dutch cup competitions, four in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and another four in qualifying. She made her Champions League debut as a 17-year-old in October 2019 against her future employers, playing the full 90 minutes under then coach Tommy Stroot in a 1-0 defeat to Wolfsburg in the round of 16 second leg. She’s been a Dutch champion four times, most recently just a few weeks ago. Peddemors also boasts international experience having worn the orange shirt at every age level from under-15.

“Best for my development”

“I’m very happy to have signed for such a great club with an extremely successful history in women’s football,” said Peddemors. “After another season with Twente, getting to wear the VfL Wolfsburg shirt and be part of this club fills me with pride. We’re all in agreement that another year with Twente is best for my development as a player.”

“Key player for Twente”

“Ella is a very talented and ambitious player who has matured into a key player at FC Twente over the last five years,” said Ralf Kellermann, director of women’s football at VfL Wolfsburg. “I’m sure she’s not yet reached the end of her development, which makes me all the more pleased that Ella has chosen a future with us – regardless of who will be in charge as head coach in 2025. I’m convinced that another year at FC Twente will do her good in terms of gaining further experience at a high level – ideally in the Champions League. With a view to our future squad orientation, she will fit perfectly into our requirements profile in 2025.”
