VfL Wolfsburg Women are away at TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday 9 November (kick-off 12:00 CET). At his media briefing ahead of the Google Pixel Women's Bundesliga Matchday 9 clash, head coach Tommy Stroot discussed...
…team news: "We'll be missing four players on Saturday: Caitlin Dijkstra, Camilla Küver, Kristin Demann and Anneke Borbe, who is now back in training. That means that we've now got Vivien Endemann and Sarai Linder available again, which wasn't the case last week. We'll have to wait and see with Tabea Sellner, who broke off training early today after feeling a little tweak in her calf."
…Hoffenheim's form: "We've got the last few years in the back of our minds and know how Hoffenheim can play. Having said that, we also know that they're struggling a little bit right now. They probably don't have the stability yet that they'd like to have. However, we've had first-hand experience of how quickly they can turn the corner, so we want to make sure that doesn't happen on Saturday. We want to put them under pressure in the areas where they've maybe still got some problems, and we'll hopefully play well and come away with the three points."
…VfL's own form: "We're proud of the last few weeks. If we look back a couple of weeks to where we were and what our situation was, and also how we've got back on track, then we're in a good position now. If you look at the table on Google, it always shows a team's five most recent games. If you win then it's marked green; it's grey for a draw and red for a defeat. This weekend we could make our sequence completely green. That's a huge motivation for me right now because then we would be the only team with five green ticks. But at the same time we're aware that we've got some challenging weeks ahead up until the winter break."
