She-Wolves ease into semi-finals

VfL Wolfsburg cruised into the women's DFB Cup semi-finals with a comfortable 4-0 victory at home to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam.

The She-Wolves' dreams of defending their cup crown continue after a dominant performance against Potsdam in the quarter-finals on Wednesday. Alexandra Popp hit a brace, while Pernille Harder and Pia-Sophie Wolter also got on the scoresheet for Stephan Lerch's side, who currently sit top of the Allianz Women's Bundesliga standings.

The Green-Whites will discover who they will face in the last four when the draw is made at 13:00CET on Thursday at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt, before travelling to SC Freiburg for their next league outing on Sunday (kick-off 14:00 CET).

"Take the momentum"

VfL head coach Stephan Lerch: "My team deserve huge credit for implementing our game plan so brilliantly. We knew that matches against Potsdam are always intense and hard-fought affairs so it was important to be present from the very first minute and be mentally prepared. Given the strong wind and heavy rain, this was a great performance overall and now we want to take this momentum with us into our upcoming fixtures."
