Seven VfL Wolfsburg players linked up with their respective national teams following Saturday’s game at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Wolves septet are set to feature in a number of different competitions in the coming days.
Casteels and Lukebakio eye Nations League success
Dutch striker Wout Weghorst and Swiss duo Renato Steffen and Kevin Mbabu all have two World Cup qualifiers on the horizon, while Koen Casteels and Dodi Lukebakio are hoping to reach the final of the UEFA Nations League with Belgium. Aster Vranckx has been named in Belgium’s U21 squad for their two upcoming games, with Anselmo Garcia MacNulty called up by the Republic of Ireland’s U19s for a week-long international training camp.
