Lisa Weiß will miss the rest of the current season after sustaining an injury to her right hand in training that requires corrective surgery. The 34-year-old goalkeeper will undergo an operation in Berlin this coming week. Weiß joined VfL Wolfsburg Women from Aston Villa at the start of 2021/22 and has made five appearances in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, as well as two apiece in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the DFB Cup.
