Regeneration and team-event

Day five in Marbella: The Wolves tee-off in Footgolf.

After four intensive days of the training-camp in Marbella, with test-friendly wins over St. Pauli and Dynamo Dresden, as well as an abundance of training and jogging sessions, the Wolves finally had a chance to take things a little easier on Sunday. Following a short morning session, a fun team-event took priority in the afternoon. In spite of the relaxed atmosphere, the players were, as sportsmen tend to be, ambitious as ever in a round of Footgolf and eager to leave the course as winner.

Squad-numbers 31 to 35 triumphant

Footgolf is played similarly to golf, with the only real exception being the exchanging of a golf-ball for a football, and a respectively larger hole. The eventual winners were the team with the 30s jerseys - Robin Knoche (number 31), Kaylen Hinds (32), Marvin Stefaniak (34) and Gian-Luca Itter (35).

Return trip on Monday

On Monday, the VfL crew make their return trip to Wolfsburg, where the Green-Whites will then put the finishing touches to their preparations for the start of the second half of the season away to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday, January 14th (kick-off 18:00 CET). Before leaving Spain, the Wolves will go through one more intensive and sweat-inducing Monday morning session at the Marbella Football Center, after which the Wolves will make their way to the airport in Malaga to catch their flight home.
