VfL Wolfsburg Women had already secured their seventh German league title prior to Matchday 22 of the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, but they refused to ease off at home to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In front of a crowd of 3,689 at the AOK Stadion, head coach Tommy Stroot’s side raced to a 6-0 half-time lead, eventually winning 7-1 to complete a perfect second half of the season with 11 victories.
