The 22-year-old had to be substituted shortly before half-time on Saturday following a collision. Scans over the weekend confirmed there was no serious ligament damage, but the midfielder is out of action for the time being. Following consultation with the DFB, he will not be available to Hansi Flick’s team for the three upcoming internationals.
