Linglong Tire and VfL extend partnership

The Wolves’ Top-Partner to remain as sleeve sponsor.

VfL Wolfsburg can continue to count on the support of long-term partner Linglong Tire after extending its global sponsorship agreement with the Chinese company – who will remain a ClubofChampions partner – by another three years. As VfL’s sleeve sponsor in all competitions, Linglong Tire has featured prominently on the Green-and-Whites’ jersey since 2019 and will remain so in the coming years. The deal also sees Linglong Tire become VfL Wolfsburg’s official climate partner as part of the club’s ‘We for Tomorrow’ campaign.

Lucky eight

The new agreement extends the partnership between VfL Wolfsburg and Linglong Tire into its eighth year and includes, among other things, the use of LED boards, Cam Carpets, matchday hospitality and digital services. From this summer, the Weekly Wolves and all VfL friendlies streamed live on YouTube will also be sponsored by Linglong Tire. “We’re very grateful to Linglong Tire for its continued support of VfL Wolfsburg in recent years,” said VfL managing director Michael Meeske. “The 2022/23 season will see us enter our eighth year together. We’re aware of the special meaning of the number eight in Chinese culture, so we hope the partnership will continue to be enriched by plenty of positive surprises.”

Official climate partner

From next season, Linglong Tire will also become the club’s official climate partner. The Chinese company is actively involved in sustainable development initiatives, including a low-carbon manufacturing programme which is already entering its production phase. As well as focusing on sustainability when sourcing raw materials, in production control and in supply chain analysis, Linglong Tire also uses eco-friendly, high-efficiency smart equipment to help create a global green ecosystem in the tyre industry.

“Linglong Tire and VfL Wolfsburg have continued to deepen their cooperation since the start of the partnership in 2014, actively seeking innovations and achieving breakthroughs,” said Wang Feng, Chairman and President of Linglong Tire. “We’re very pleased that the club and Linglong continue to maintain a close relationship while exploring and developing partnership opportunities, not just in business, sport and youth but also in sustainable development and climate protection.”

Offer to supporters

Wolves fans who want the Linglong logo on the sleeve of their shirts are in luck: The badge is still available in both the Wölfeshop and in VfL fan stores and can be applied free of charge.
