VfL Wolfsburg will have to do without Yannick Gerhardt for the next few weeks, after the midfielder was forced out of their 7-1 friendly win away to WSG Tirol on Saturday as early as the sixth minute.
The initial diagnosis at a local hospital was ligament damage to his left knee. The 28-year-old is set to leave the training camp in Seefeld today (Sunday) and return home for treatment. We obviously wish Yannick all the best for a speedy recovery.
