Maxence Lacroix’s fine 60th-minute header earned VfL Wolfsburg their first Bundesliga victory of the season. The Frenchman netted the only goal of the game as the Wolves battled to a 1-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt, the reward for a strong defensive display.
VfL are on the road again next weekend, visiting 1. FC Union Berlin on Sunday 18 September. Kick-off at the Stadion an der Alten Försterei is 15:30 CEST.
Team news
VfL head coach Niko Kovac made three changes to the team that started the 4-2 defeat against 1. SGE boss Oliver Glasner also made three changes following the 3-0 loss at home to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, with Luca Pellegrini, Ansgar Knauff and Rafael Borre recalled.
