First Team

Final say: Leverkusen

The key facts and figures after the goalless draw at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

VfL Wolfsburg climbed to ninth in the Bundesliga table on Saturday after earning a point from a 0-0 draw with reigning champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Volkswagen Arena. It was both clubs’ second goalless draw of the campaign, following the Wolves’ stalemate at promoted FC St. Pauli on Matchday 8 and Leverkusen’s draw with 2023/24 runners-up VfB Stuttgart the following weekend. This was also the first time this season that Bayer failed to find the net on their travels in the Bundesliga.
