Double-session on Tuesday

Paul Verhaegh: "The break did us good"

The Wolves during their training session on Tuesday.

On Monday, head coach Bruno Labbadia gathered his currently somewhat depleted squad on the training grounds, having enjoyed a weekend off. The Green-Whites were back in training again on Tuesday, with a double-session on the schedule, with the focus on passing and shooting, as well as operating in tight spaces.

Reduced squad

With a number of VfL players currently away on duty with their respective national teams, training in the past week has been conducted with a reduced group of players. In addition, Robin Knoche and Josuha Guilavogui (both adductor problems), along with Sebastian Jung (calf muscle problems) went through individual session on the pitch and in the fitness-room on Tuesday.

Injury issues improving

Paul Verhaegh drew a positive conclusion on the training sessions thus far and the weekend off from Bundesliga action: "The break did us good. We were well rested and fresh getting started into the week. It’s also good to see the list of long-term injuries dwindling."

On Wednesday, the Wolves will be back in training again at 10:00 CET.
