Ariane Hingst to remain assistant-coach of the Lady-Wolves until 2019.

The Lady-Wolves are planning on the composition of the trainer-team with continuity. Ariane Hingst has extended his contract with VfL until June 30th, 2019. The 174-time German ‚A‘ international and World Champion from 2003 and 2007, has been a member of the Green-Whites coaching-staff since January 2016, celebrating the German championship title with VfL last year, as well as DFB-Cup successes in 2016 and 2017. "I didn’t have to consider the option of extending my contract for a second. I absolutely wanted to continue at VfL. It’s really fun to work with the coaching-staff and functionary-team here and it’s also fantastic to see how this team is developing. It’s great to have the opportunity to be part of that," stated the Berlin born co-trainer.

"Important element"

For Ralf Kellermann, Sporting director of women’s football at VfL, sees this contract extension as the continuation of an already successful collaboration: "I am delighted that Ariane is staying on as part of the coaching-staff. She is an extremely important element of the daily activities with the team. She has worked excellently together with the rest of the trainer-team since day one." VfL head-coach Stephan Lerch is also delighted about the continuation of his cooperation with Hingst: "I am very happy about the contract extension with Ariane. Her fantastic, expansive experience, her honest opinions and her meticulous work on the pitch are of massive value to us. Her professional and passionate manner is a win for any team and she is a vitally important element of our coaching-team. We are delighted that we will continue to work with her over the coming year and she will continue to aid the team with her extensive knowledge of the game."
