VfL-Frauen jubeln und umarmen sich.

After a difficult few weeks, VfL Wolfsburg Women picked up a hugely important three points on Sunday with a deserved 4-0 win at home to SC Freiburg in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga. Watched by a crowd of 3,017, the She-Wolves controlled the game from the start and dominated over the 90 minutes. Ewa Pajor netted a brace either side of half-time for the Green-and-Whites, with Vivien Endemann and Lena Lattwein also on the scoresheet.

Goals

  • 1-0 Pajor (36’): Marina Hegering plays a good ball into the box to Pajor, who slots it into the left corner to give VfL a deserved lead.
  • 2-0 Endemann (39’): Freiburg goalkeeper Gabrielle Lambert can only palm away a corner as far as Endemann, who heads home the second goal.
  • 3-0 Pajor (50’): Endemann picks up a long ball and carries it down the left flank all the way to the byline. Her cross finds Pajor, who finishes first time from close range.
  • 4-0 Lattwein (60’): Lattwein fires in a great long-distance shot to make it 4-0.
