VfL Wolfsburg will have to do without Lovro Majer until further notice after the 26-year-old midfielder injured ligaments in his right ankle during the away victory over Holstein Kiel. Majer is currently with the Croatia national team, where he will undergo further treatment in close consultation with VfL’s medical department.
Majer, who has already scored twice for the Green-and-Whites this season, was withdrawn shortly before half-time in Saturday’s 2-0 win.
