The fixture list for the new FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga season was revealed by the DFB (German Football Association) on Friday. Reigning champions VfL Wolfsburg kick off the 2019/20 campaign by welcoming SC Sand to the AOK Stadion on 18 August, before travelling to MSV Duisburg the following week. Just like last term, the first league meeting between Stephan Lerch’s side and last season’s runners-up FC Bayern München takes place in Wolfsburg, with the two teams set to lock horns on the weekend of 23-24 November.
The first half of the campaign draws to a close on 1 December, while the winter break begins after Matchday 13 on 15 December and ends on 16 February 2020. The final round of fixtures will take place on 17 May 2020.
The precise kick-off times will be confirmed next week after discussions have been held between the clubs and the DFB. The opening game of the season between 1. FFC Frankfurt and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam has already been scheduled for Friday 16 August.
