Sixteen Wolves are away with their national teams during this international break, with 14 of them having featured so far. While three Wolves face a decisive final for World Cup qualification next week, one Green-and-White has already seen his dream of the tournament come to an end.
- Denmark secured an emphatic 4-0 win over North Macedonia in their World Cup play-off semi-final. Joakim Maehle played the full match. Christian Eriksen came on in the 73rd minute and, just two minutes later, delivered the corner that Christian Nørgaard headed home to make it 4-0. Jesper Lindström did not feature. Denmark will now face the Czech Republic on Tuesday for a place at the World Cup, with the winner of that clash booking their ticket.

- … secured a 3-1 victory over Ukraine with Sweden. Svanberg was brought on in stoppage time.
- It was less successful for Denis Vavro, who lost a high-scoring match with Slovakia against Kosovo (3-4). As a result, Slovakia – with Vavro, who played the full match – will not take part in the World Cup.
- Sael Kumbedi and Jeanuel Belocian recorded a comfortable 5-1 win with France’s U21 side against Luxembourg. Kumbedi came on in the 64th minute, while Jeanuel Belocian did not feature.
- Croatia claimed a 2-1 victory over Colombia. Lovro Majer was not used in the win.
- There was a direct VfL clash on Friday as Austria beat Ghana 4-1. Jonas Adjetey played until the 69th minute, while Patrick Wimmer was on the pitch for Austria from the start of the second half.
- Dzenan Pejcinovic played the final 20 minutes for Germany’s U21s in a comfortable 3-0 win over Northern Ireland.
- Konstantinos Koulierakis did not feature in Greece’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Paraguay.
- Mohammed Amoura and Algeria cruised to a 7-0 friendly win over Guatemala. Amoura played until the 61st minute and assisted the third goal of the game.
Kento Shiogai will play the first of two friendlies during the international break today, Saturday, with Japan facing Scotland at 18:00. Meanwhile, Adam Daghim will be in action on Tuesday, 31 March, for Denmark’s U21s in their European Championship qualifier against Wales, which also kicks off at 18:00.
