After Maximilian Arnold and Yannick Gerhardt, he is the longest-serving player at the club – and he will remain so. Goalkeeper Pavao Pervan has committed to a ninth season with VfL Wolfsburg. The 38-year-old Austrian has extended his contract with the Wolves by another season until 30 June 2027.
“Give something back every day”
“I’m absolutely delighted that my journey with VfL Wolfsburg will continue. I want to give something back every single day with my attitude and commitment for the trust and appreciation the club – and the people who support us – have shown me. It’s not something you can take for granted to feel this level of appreciation, and that makes me all the more proud,” said Pervan.
“Still a pillar of the team”
The experienced goalkeeper, who wears the number 12 shirt, joined the Wolves from Linzer ASK in July 2018. Since then, he has made 45 competitive appearances for the Green-and-Whites across four competitions. “Personalities like Pavo are indispensable in every squad and every dressing room. We’re delighted that, with his professionalism, loyalty and commitment, he will continue to be a pillar of the team,” emphasised VfL sporting director Pirmin Schwegler.
