Speedy striker from France

French international Kessya Bussy joins VfL Women.

VfL Wolfsburg are pleased to welcome a high-quality addition to their attack, with forward Kessya Bussy joining on a free transfer from Paris FC. The 24-year-old French international has agreed a contract with the She-Wolves through to 30 June 2028 and will wear the number 19 shirt.

“Continue success story”

“VfL Wolfsburg are a big club with an impressive history,” said Bussy. “The management explained the club’s plans for the future to me, which quickly convinced me. I’m very proud to have the chance to continue VfL’s success story and can’t wait to start pre-season with the team.”

“Strengthen our team with her mentality”

“We’re delighted that Kessya has chosen VfL and our path,” emphasised Ralf Kellermann, director of women’s football at VfL Wolfsburg. “As a versatile attacking player, she’ll not only strengthen our team with her pace and goal threat but also with her mentality.”

Cup winner in France

Bussy began her career in the youth setup of US Orléans. After establishing herself as a first-team regular there in the 2019/20 season, she moved to top-flight club Stade de Reims in summer 2020. The striker made her debut in the Première Ligue on 5 September 2020 and made a total of 64 competitive appearances for Reims. In summer 2023, Bussy signed for Paris FC, where she scored 21 goals in 59 games in the league, cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League. She won the Coupe de France with the capital club last season.

The striker also gained experience in various national youth teams, including winning the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship with the French U19s in 2019. She made her senior debut for France on 10 June 2021 in a friendly against Germany and has since won seven caps for Les Bleues, her most recent appearance coming just last month in a Nations League match against Iceland.
