Seven teams, more than 150 players – the VfL Academy is home to numerous young talents who attract attention week after week with strong performances. To recognise these outstanding displays, the sporting management of the Young Wolves has been naming the three “Players of the Month” since August last year. The winners for February have now been confirmed.
3rd place: Lenny Kelling (U15)
After a long injury lay-off, the U15 Young Wolves goalkeeper made his return to the pitch and impressed with consistently strong performances. During his rehabilitation process, Kelling made noticeable progress, gained personal maturity and now approaches his role even more professionally.
2nd place: Estefano Garcia Noto (U16)
The central midfielder delivered strong performances in both training and matches in recent weeks. He particularly underlined his positive development throughout the season during the victories against Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV.
1st place: Karlo Simic
Karlo Simic secured the “Player of the Month” title for February. The U19 Young Wolves striker scored six goals in the first four matches of the second half of the season, impressed with his high work rate and consistently put himself at the service of the team.
