Following the resignation of head coach Tommy Stroot on Tuesday evening, his former assistant Sabrina Eckhoff has been placed in temporary charge of VfL Wolfsburg’s women’s team. The plan is for the 40-year-old to lead training until a permanent successor to Stroot is found.
Eckhoff has been part of the She-Wolves’ backroom staff since July 2021 and will be supported on the touchline by the rest of the current coaching team.
