Following a successful start to their pre-season preparations, VfL Wolfsburg Women are already set for their next friendly. PSV Eindhoven will visit the GWG-Stadion Flutmulde in Gifhorn on Thursday evening, 23 July. Kick-off against the Dutch top-flight side is at 18:00 CEST.
Familiar opposition
Head coach Stephan Lerch’s team got their pre-season campaign off to a winning start. Last Sunday, the Green-and-Whites claimed a 3-2 victory over SV Meppen in their opening friendly. They now face another demanding test in PSV Eindhoven. The two sides also met during last winter’s training camp in Malta, where VfL came out on top with a 2-0 win over the Dutch outfit. For the match against PSV, a 45-minute period and two additional periods of 30 minutes each are currently planned, although the format remains subject to change.
Fun for the whole family
There will also be plenty to enjoy away from the action on the pitch. From the stadium opening at 16:30 CEST, visitors can look forward to a range of VfL activities, including a bouncy castle and a target shooting challenge. Club mascot Wölfi will, of course, also be there. After the match, the players will also be available for an autograph session.
