For the first time since 2016, VfL Wolfsburg Women kick off the new league campaign with an away game. Last season’s Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga runners-up travel to newly promoted Hamburger SV, who will be playing their home matches at the Volksparkstadion this season. As such, Stephan Lerch’s side can look forward to a bumper crowd for the clash with their northern rivals, which will take place between 5 and 8 September. The exact date and kick-off time will be confirmed in around two weeks. The official opening match of the 2025/26 season between FC Bayern Munich and Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena kicks off at 17:45 CEST on Saturday 6 September.
Bayern showdown in October
The She-Wolves’ first home match of the new season will take place between 12 and 15 September, when FC Carl Zeiss Jena visit the AOK Stadion. Like last season, the first league meeting with Bayern will be in Wolfsburg, who host the reigning champions on Matchday 6 between 10 and 13 October. The first encounter between the two sides in 2025/26, however, is the Google Pixel Supercup in Karlsruhe on 30 August (14:00 CEST). The end of the campaign may still be a long way away, but She-Wolves fans can already look forward to a final-day trip to promoted 1. FC Nürnberg.
