It’s finally here: The new VfL kit for the 2018/2019 season. The Wolves go into the new Bundesliga season in a rich, dark green outfit. In addition, a stylised "X" in a lighted green tone hints at the jerseys from the Championship season 2009 and also indicates the Roman numeral for 10 – in recognition of next year being the tenth anniversary of the Wolves championship success. "The jersey is a wonderful tribute to the most successful year in Wolfsburg’s club history," noted general manager Jörg Schmadtke, who emphasised: "That is not intended to infer our current targets for this season." Sporting director Marcel Schäfer, who as a player, hoisted the championship trophy into the air in 2009, said: "Looking at those jerseys, memories of May 23rd, 2009 spring to mind – for me personally too. It should prove the incentive for everyone to work hard every day, to get VfL back on a successful track."
Wolves and Lady-Wolves present kits
