VfL Wolfsburg and Marius Müller are parting ways after two years together, with the 33-year-old goalkeeper making the move to Scottish side Aberdeen FC.

We had open discussions about his current sporting prospects and came to the shared conclusion that a move to Aberdeen is the right step for both sides. Eight appearances for the Green-and-Whites
The goalkeeper, who came through the ranks and turned professional at 1. FC Kaiserslautern, joined Wolfsburg from FC Schalke 04 in the summer of 2024. As deputy to Kamil Grabara, Müller made eight competitive appearances during his two seasons with the Wolves, including six in the Bundesliga and two in the DFB Cup.

“Saying goodbye is incredibly difficult because I’ve felt extremely comfortable both at the club and in the wider environment. After the relegation, I would have liked to help put things right again together with the team. At the same time, the move to Aberdeen gives me the opportunity to play regularly again, and that’s a challenge I’m embracing with complete conviction. I’ll always look back on my time in Wolfsburg fondly,” said Marius Müller.
