VfL Wolfsburg suffered an injury scare early on in their friendly against Hertha BSC on Wednesday when Maximilian Arnold indicated that he was unable to continue. The captain felt a twinge in the back of his thigh following a corner and had to be substituted off the field. He underwent a comprehensive examination on Thursday, which confirmed a mild muscle injury. Arnold will therefore take things easy over the coming days. It remains to be seen when he will be available for head coach Paul Simonis again.
