Long-term contract extensions

VfL Women’s coaching team will be continuing their successful work until 2025.

Tommy Stroot already extended his contract as head coach until 2025 in May, and it has now been confirmed that the whole coaching team will be continuing their successful work together long-term. Assistants Sabrina Eckhoff, Kim Kulig and Eva-Maria Virsinger, goalkeeper coach Alisa Vetterlein as well as analyst Gerhard Waldhart have also signed new deals until 30 June 2025. In addition, there’ll be a second goalkeeper coach joining the team shortly, with Marcel Schulz moving from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt on 1 January 2023. The 23-year-old has been with Frankfurt since 2020 and previously worked for SGS Essen and the German Football Association.

“Central factor”

“I’m very happy that the entire coaching staff have signed long-term contract extensions as they’re a central factor to our sporting success,” said Stroot. “This underlines the great way we work together and the potential that we all still see in our joint work. I’m sure that Marcel Schulz will fit right in and am looking forward to working with him.”
