Loan move to Dresden

Till Neininger joins fellow 2. Bundesliga side Dynamo Dresden on loan.

The Wolves have sent Till Neininger out on loan. The 19-year-old centre-back will wear the Dynamo Dresden shirt until the end of the 2026/2027 season. At the end of May, the homegrown VfL talent extended his contract with the Green-and-Whites by a further two years until 30 June 2028. Neininger joined the VfL Academy from BSC Acosta in July 2018 and progressed through every youth age group. Last season, the defensive prospect captained the U19 Young Wolves to the final of the DFB Junior Cup.

Regular playing time the priority

“Till has developed exceptionally well over the past few years and has earned this opportunity,” said sporting director Pirmin Schwegler. “For the next stage of his development, it’s crucial that he plays regularly and takes on responsibility. Dynamo Dresden provides an excellent environment for that. The club also has a U21 team which, like us, competes in the Bundesliga Talent Series. That means Till will be able to gain regular experience at a high level regardless of which team he plays for. We’re convinced this loan spell will help him continue to fulfil his enormous potential.”
