In the re-scheduled game from matchday 14 in the Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga, the Lady-Wolves convinced with a 4-0 (2-0) win over bottom side FF USV Jena, thus extending their lead over second and third place FC Bayern Munich and SC Freiburg, who are level on points, to five points. "A focused and concentrated performance"

VfL head coach Stephan Lerch: I must pay a compliment to my team. We had come up with some ideas prior to the game, wanted to keep up the tempo, remain patient and get the opponent on the run. The team did exactly that very well. The early 1-0 stabilised us and we controlled proceedings after that. It was a very focused and concentrated performance from my team. The players continued to press forward right to the finish and I am delighted to be taking these three points back from Jena.
