VfL Women are at home to Slavia Praha in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Die Spielerinnen des VfL Wolfsburg laufen sich vor dem Spiel warm.

VfL Wolfsburg have already secured their spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finals thanks to their 4-2 win over Roma, but victory against Slavia Praha on Friday 16 December (kick-off: 21:00 CET) would guarantee them top spot in Group B. That would mean the She-Wolves will face one of the other group runners-up in the next round. At the official pre-match press conference, head coach Tommy Stroot gave his thoughts on…

…team news: "Sara Agrez and Jill Roord are both still out, while Svenja Huth won't be available for this game either. We don't want to take any risks with her. She might be an option again for the St. Pölten match."

…the importance of the game: "The Champions League is always special. As soon as you hear the anthem and with the whole set-up in the stadium looking different, the group standings are of secondary importance. We've still got two games to play and we want to win them both."

…his expectations: "I'm expecting it to be a battle. Slavia have contested more tackles than anyone else in the Champions League, according to the statistics. We're sixth in that particular ranking – and we don't shirk any challenges. Everyone at the stadium can expect to see an energetic game. For us it's all about finding the right spaces in the right moments in order to win the match."
