From the Early Shift to City Hall

Impressions from the VfL kit launch.

On Thursday, the secret was revealed: the crenellated crest will return to the shirts of the She-Wolves, Wolves and VfL fans for the 2026/2027 season – earlier than originally planned. To unveil the new home and away kits, the fan bus travelled across the city, stopping at three different locations. Alongside the new kits, fans also had the chance to meet players from the men's and women's teams, Wölfi, and creators MaxMalle and Faro.

16 First-Team Players at Three Locations

Elvis Rexhbecaj, Kilian Fischer, Martina Tufekovic and Giovanna Hoffmann kicked things off with the early shift at Gate 17 on the Volkswagen factory site. It's not often you get the chance to buy a shirt directly from VfL players at 5.30am. The tour then moved on to the VfL Stadium at Elsterweg, where Maximilian Arnold, Aaron Zehnter, Katharina Piljic and Lena Lattwein were first on hand to meet fans, followed by Robert Glatzel, Bence Dardai, Sophia Kleinherne and Svenja Huth. The final stop was Wolfsburg City Hall, where Fabian Reese, Hauke Wahl, Janina Minge and Cecilie Floe Nielsen rounded off the day.

At each stop, the players helped sell the new kits, signed shirts on site and, even when crowds grew larger at times, made plenty of time for photos and personal conversations with fans. Also joining the tour was the new all-electric ID. Polo in the home kit design, which drew plenty of attention from several of the players as well.
