The last top-of-the-table clash in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga took place just two weeks ago, when VfL Wolfsburg beat FC Bayern Munich in front of 21,287 spectators at the Volkswagen Arena on 23 October. It has now been confirmed that fans of the Bundesliga leaders can look forward to yet another key encounter at the arena – against second-placed Eintracht Frankfurt at 13:00 CET on Saturday 3 December.
“An atmospheric crowd of over 20,000 fans for the top-of-the-table meeting with FC Bayern Munich proved once again that our idea of staging selected, key VfL Women games at the Volkswagen Arena works,” said Dr. Tim Schumacher, managing director responsible for women’s football at VfL Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH. “All the more reason for me to look forward to another wonderful She-Wolves home game at the Volkswagen Arena together with our fans.”
