VfL Wolfsburg’s first competitive match of the 2025/26 season has been confirmed following the DFB Cup first-round draw at the German Football Museum in Dortmund on Sunday, with the Green-and-Whites pitted away to SV Hemelingen.
Fixture in mid-August
The fifth-division side, who are in the competition for the first time, will therefore be the first opponents newly appointed VfL coach Paul Simonis will face in a competitive match. The first-round ties will be played between 15-18 August, with the exact dates and times still to be confirmed.
