Brekalo’s Croatia clinch U21 EURO spot

A round-up of how the Wolves’ internationals have fared in recent days.

Having booked their ticket for next year’s UEFA European Under-21 Championship last week, the Germany Under-21 side, featuring VfL defender Felix Uduokhai, were able to relax in their final qualifier against the Republic of Ireland, rounding off their campaign with a 2-0 win. Uduokhai’s teammate Josip Brekalo will also be at the tournament next summer after Croatia’s U21s got the win they needed to secure qualification, thrashing San Marino 4-0. Elsewhere, Renato Steffen, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Yunus Malli were in UEFA Nations League action with their respective countries, while Paul-Georges Ntep (Cameroon) and Marcel Tisserand (DR Congo) both had to settle for draws in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
