Women

Back to the Algarve

VfL Women have begun their training camp in Portugal, with the high point set to be a friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt.

After being forced to cancel their training camp in the Algarve on two occasions due to the global pandemic, the She-Wolves are now back in Portugal for the tenth time overall. The squad plus coaching and backroom staff arrived at Club Quinta da Ria on Wednesday, with the first training session held the following day.

Eintracht friendly to look forward to

VfL head coach Tommy Stroot’s charges will be sweating it out on the Algarve until 20 January. For the time being, Sara Agrez (back problems), Lena Oberdorf (flu symptoms) and Jill Roord (foot injury) are training on their own.

One of the highlights of the stay in Portugal will be the friendly against Women’s Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt on 18 January at 16:00 local time in Vila Real de Santo Antonio.
