The summer break is over and the Young She-Wolves have returned to training. With training sessions, friendly matches and tournaments, the club’s female youth teams are preparing for the new season in their respective leagues and competitions.
Fresh Start in the Regionalliga
Following relegation from the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg’s U20 women will compete in the Regionalliga Nord during the 2026/2027 season. Under the guidance of new head coach Rachel Lever, the Green-and-Whites got back to work on Monday. The Young She-Wolves will play the first of five pre-season friendlies in around two weeks’ time before the new Regionalliga campaign gets under way on 23 August.

Training Camp at Elsterweg, Tournament in Amsterdam
The U17 girls also returned to training on Monday. The Young She-Wolves will compete in the U17-Regionalliga Nord and the DFB Cup in the new season. As part of their preparations, the Green-and-Whites will hold a training camp at their familiar Elsterweg base. They also have three tournaments scheduled, including one in Amsterdam. A week later, they begin their U17-Regionalliga Nord campaign at home against Osnabrücker SC.
