There are some football matches where entertainment is guaranteed before a ball has even been kicked. One such occasion is when the Green-and-Whites’ legends team takes to the field. This coming Friday, 21 August, they will be back in action. Roy Präger and his former Wolves will be making the short trip just down the road: TSG Mörse are celebrating their 75th anniversary and have invited their friends from the VfL legends team to take on a TSG anniversary XI at the local Herzbergstadion. Kick-off is at 18:30.
Proceeds to be donated
Visitors to the exhibition match can look forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces. The VfL legends team, coached by Frank Plagge and Dietmar Koch, will feature the likes of Burkhard Kick, Peter Kleeschätzky, Mathias Stammann, Jürgen Rische, Jan Schanda and Gerald Schröder. Wölfi is also expected to join in the fun. The Green-and-Whites’ visit will kick off an entire anniversary weekend for the VfL partner club, featuring a bouncy castle, raffle, music and other entertaining activities. Importantly, the admission proceeds will go firstly towards TSG’s children’s football programme and secondly to a local charitable cause, Kinder- und Jugendschutz Wolfsburg e.V.
