VfL Wolfsburg will welcome Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig to the Volkswagen Arena in the second round of the DFB Cup.
The second-round draw was made on Sunday evening by Germany Under-21 coach Stefan Kuntz and former Germany international Christoph Metzelder at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.
The ties will take place on Tuesday 29 October and Wednesday 30 October. The exact date and kick-off time of VfL's match is still to be determined, but will be communicated via our social media channels once confirmed. The Wolves overcame third-tier outfit Hallescher FC 5-3 after extra-time in the first round, while Leipzig recorded a 3-2 win over Bundesliga 2 side VfL Osnabrück.
This upcoming meeting will be the teams' fourth in the DFB Cup, with all three previous encounters having taken place in Leipzig. In 2011 the Green-and-Whites lost 3-2 in the first round, but exacted revenge with a 2-0 triumph in the last 16 in 2015. Leipzig came out on top at the same stage of the competition in February this year, winning 1-0.
