Wolves fire up for Freiburg

Double-shift on Tuesday.

John Anthony Brooks is back on the pitch.

Having enjoyed Easter Monday off, Bruno Labbadia gathered his men for two training-session on Tuesday. In both sessions, the VfL head-coach placed the focus on tactical and technical playing elements. In the morning, the Wolves initially worked on their passing in warm, springtime temperatures, before completing the morning programme with a kick-about. At the end of the session, the strikers went through an additional programme of shooting-practice. In the afternoon, there was a short and intensive endurance-session on the schedule, before completing the second work-out of the day with another training match. The work on the training-grounds continues for the Green-Whites on Wednesday afternoon at 15:30 CET.

Brooks and Blaszczykowski working on comebacks

There was also good news on the day from John Anthony Brooks. The long-term injured central-defender, who had been working on the ball again recently, was back involved in elements of the team session on Tuesday. Jakub Blaszczykowski is also progressing positively – albeit not in Wolfsburg. The Polish international is currently in his homeland, where he is undertaking individual training.
