“We’ll always get chances”

The Wolves have the wind in their sails as they prepare to face Bundesliga leaders Borussia Mönchengladbach.

After their win over Saint-Etienne, the Wolves will take fresh confidence into their home clash with table-toppers Gladbach on Sunday (kick-off: 15:30 CET).  Head coach Oliver Glasner faced the media ahead of the match and spoke about:

… the momentum from the Europa League: “I’m really pleased with the way we played and totally satisfied with what all the players brought out onto the pitch. They did what we’d talked about beforehand and what we’d said we’d do, and so we’re feeling good about ourselves as we head into the intensive pre-Christmas period. It’s always good to know that you can count on each and every individual. I knew that I could, but this match reinforced the feeling that I already had.”

…the squad: “I’m assuming that Koen Casteels will be back again. Marcel Tisserand has ankle issues but he’s suspended in any case, and so the only question mark is over Admir Mehmedi, whose thigh is causing him a few problems. All the other players are fit and ready.”

…their opponents: “Gladbach have changed their style of play somewhat this season. Up front they’re a very dangerous team – very quick and very strong. The way they build up their attacks in such a determined way is really impressive to watch. The players and the power they have going forward are absolutely the best in the Bundesliga. We’re always going to get space and chances though, but we’ll have to be more ruthless with them than we have been in recent matches.”
