“We defended very well”
Oliver Glasner was satisfied with the draw against Leverkusen.

The 50th competitive meeting between VfL Wolfsburg and Bayer 04 Leverkusen ended in a goalless draw – the first ever stalemate between the two teams. Neither coach was too disappointed at the final whistle, however.
The coaches’ post-match reaction
Oliver Glasner: “I’d like to compliment my players on a strong performance. We defended very well as a team – the entire defensive line did their jobs very well. We hardly let Leverkusen get a shot off from open play. Other than that we always posed a threat and created two or three good chances before the break. We did the same in the second half on the counter-attack. Even though we only got a point, I’m very happy with our start to the Bundesliga season.”
Peter Bosz: “We were hoping for a different outcome as we came here to win. If you look at the game, though, I must say that a draw was a fair result. Both teams played on the front foot and had one or two goalscoring chances. Not just us, but Wolfsburg too. It’s good that we didn’t concede any goals. I can accept the draw, but we need to improve considerably in attack.”
