IT company becomes an official VfL supplier, supporting the Wolves until 2025.
VfL Wolfsburg and Hitachi Vantara GmbH are joining forces, with a contract through to 2025 agreed with the IT company which sees it become an official VfL supplier and part of the PartnerPool. Hitachi Vantara will now have advertisements on the LED hoardings around the Volkswagen Arena during the Green-and-Whites‘ home games. “In Hitachi Vantara, we have found a partner whose technical and digital expertise will help us enormously when it comes to ensuring optimal cloud-based storage solutions in a fast-moving and increasingly technological age,” said VfL managing director Michael Meeske.
Intelligent data management
The company provides a high-performance infrastructure and modern data centres, securing sensitive IT operations which include video and image analysis during the Wolves‘ training sessions and home matches. Over the coming years, the extensive cooperation with Hitachi Vantara will provide the latest storage solutions to meet the constantly increasing storage requirements needed to guarantee the security of local and sensitive data, not only in the company's own data centre but also in the multicloud. This will be ensured by intelligent data management and flexible scaling.
“Support the success of the Wolves”
“Performance, flexibility and dynamism are essential attributes both for a successful football team and for a modern IT infrastructure,” said Frank Weber, managing director of Hitachi Vantara. “We are pleased to be able to support the success of the Wolves with this long-term partnership and the deployment of the Hitachi Vantara Object Store.”
