The coaches give their thoughts following the Wolves' 3-0 win away to Hertha BSC.
VfL Wolfsburg's perfect start to the season continued on Sunday with victory in Berlin. VfL took a narrow 1-0 lead into the break, but established greater control on the game after the interval and late efforts from Josip Brekalo (82') and Jerome Roussillon (90+1') sealed the points in the closing stages.
The win carries the Wolves up to fourth in the table, with two wins, five goals scored and just one goal conceded in the Bundesliga so far this term.
Oliver Glasner: "We're obviously very happy to have beaten a strong Hertha side. We had a few problems in the first 15 to 20 minutes and although we went in front we didn't really get into the game. We made a few minor corrections during the hydration break and from that point on we were able to get a grip on our own defensive performance. Aside from one dangerous chance in the second half, we didn't give them any opportunities after that. We looked threatening on the counter and killed the game off towards the end."
Ante Covic: "We pictured things going differently today and wanted to build on the point we won in Munich. Unfortunately we couldn't do that. We put a lot into the first 30 minutes and tried to steer the game back in our favour even after going 1-0 down. As the match wore on, though, you could tell that we lost belief. At the end Wolfsburg ruthlessly exploited the gaps that opened up. We did a few things well, but we can play a lot better."
