The VfL Ladies have commenced their preparations for the second half of the season.
It was a wild start to 2019 for the She-Wolves as storm ‘Benjamin’ raged through Wolfsburg on Tuesday. Coach Stephan Lerch welcomed his players back on the training pitch following the customary fitness tests at the start of the week. Alexandra Popp, who will soon resume training with a protective mask after breaking her cheekbone, sat out the first session of the year, as did Kristine Minde due to illness. Lara Dickenmann continues to work on her comeback from a knee injury.
First friendly against Twente
The VfL Ladies’ first friendly of the winter takes place this Friday (11 January) at 18:00 CET, when they take on leading Dutch side FC Twente at the Stadion am Elsterweg.
