Tisserand caps comeback with a goal
Wolves beat Aue 3-1 in friendly.

VfL Wolfsburg made no mistake in Friday’s friendly match against second-division FC Erzgebirge Aue, running out 3-1 victors.
1,400 fans turned out at the AOK Stadion to see Marcel Tisserand net the opener in the 27th minute following a four-month injury lay-off. Wout Weghorst (34’) and Daniel Ginczek (55’) also got on the scoresheet, with Mario Kvesic (51’) responding for the visitors.
“We moved the ball well”
VfL head coach Bruno Labbadia: “We started the game well and our positioning was good. We also moved the ball well and that’s how we fashioned the goals. We were in control in the first half. I was pleased for Marcel Tisserand that he scored in his first game back after such a long time out.”
Next up for Bruno Labbadia’s side after the international break is a Bundesliga clash at home to Hertha BSC on 15 September (15:30CET kick-off).
