The coaches’ reactions after the game in Freiburg.
After two successive weeks with midweek fixtures, the Wolves were able to take a point from their trip to the Black Forest. As they did in their opening Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the Lower Saxony side played out a draw at SC Freiburg.
Oliver Glasner: “We started the game well but fell behind from Freiburg’s first chance. We had a few problems after that. There were lots of fouls, challenges and set pieces, but that’s also how we got back into it. For 20 to 25 minutes of the second half, we were in big trouble as Freiburg put us under a lot of pressure. Pavao Pervan came to our rescue on two or three occasions. I’m very pleased with the strong character that the team showed to battle for the point.”
Christian Streich: “I’m completely satisfied, just not with the result. With the chances we had, we should’ve scored a second goal. We played very well in the second half, had a goal disallowed for offside and hit the woodwork. We didn’t get any luck in that period, but we had to wrap up the game for ourselves.”
