She-Wolves to take on Arsenal

The VfL Ladies have some attractive pre-season friendlies to look forward to.

The inaugural FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga season gets under way on 17/18 August 2019, and six weeks before that, the VfL Ladies will begin their preparations. On 8 and 9 July, the players will undergo various performance tests before getting back onto the pitch on 10 July, when head coach Stephan Lerch officially kicks off training at 15:00 CEST at Elsterweg. At that stage, it is unlikely that he will have a full squad at his disposal since any players involved in the Women’s World Cup will join the group later, depending on how far they progress.

Four friendlies have already been booked in with another to be confirmed. The highlight of the pre-season schedule will come during the training camp in Walchsee (2-11 August), when the team will get to face newly crowned English champions Arsenal Women FC on 8 August.
