Before VfL Wolfsburg Women tackle important fixtures in three competitions in December, the club’s national team players have linked up with their respective countries for the third international break this season, and the final one of 2020.
For the majority of the players the stakes are not as high as they have been previously, as tickets to the rescheduled European Championship in England in 2022 have already been rubber-stamped. That includes Norway, whose national association chose not to call up their players. As such, Ingrid Engen and Karina Saevik will continue to train in Wolfsburg, as will Zsanett Jakabfi, who opted not to play in Hungary’s match against Iceland.
